How to Learn Spanish Fast with Flashcards on the iPhone
Besides total immersion (which not everyone has the money or the time for) the next best thing is to memorize spanish vocabulary word lists.
There is a well-known method for studying with flashcards called the Leitner Cardfile System. First, you make three or more boxes for your flash cards.
Each box or stack has a name.
Your mission is to get all your cards into the last box. The Mastered pile. Each time you sit down, select a few cards from each box. Select a lot of cards from the first box. Select a bunch, but not as many from the next. Now flip through the cards. If you get one that originated from the unseen pile right, promote it to the next box. If you get one right from box #2, promote it to box #3 and so on. That’s the catch. If you get the card wrong, it goes all the way back to box #1 — the unseen pile — where it starts again. Doing this process manually, without the aid of a computer can be a pain in the neck. That’s why we’ve written our Spanish Flashcards iPhone app. It keeps track of all this box ordering for you.
